It’s Grammy time again–acceptance speeches, performance collaborations, and the music industry, oh my!

Amongst this year’s Grammy nominees and performers are a couple of acts that were recently at Granada (or coming soon):

A charismatic and energetic artist who graced Granada’s stage last November, Janelle Monae, has been confirmed to perform the prestigious awards ceremony on Sunday night (I wonder what song she’ll sing?). She has been nominated for two Grammys this year, for Best Urban/Alternative Performance (“Tightrope” w/Big Boi) and Best Contemporary R&B Album (“The ArchAndroid”)

Our March 11 performer, Marty Stuart, has been nominated for TWO Grammys this year, for Best Country Collaboration With Vocals (“I Run To You” w/Connie Smith) and Best Country Instrumental Performance (“Hummingbyrd”). On 3/11, Marty is playing 2 sets at the Granada (early & late), one for each of his Grammy nods!

While many of the respective artists who have been nominated for Grammys are talented, we all have our own opinions on the countless talented music artists who are also deserving of such a major award. In the comment section below, tell us who you think should have won a Grammy this year and you could win 2 tickets to see Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights at Granada Theater on March 12! Winner be chosen on Friday, February 18.
