For those country buffs, Eleven Hundred Springs is no other than a common household name. The Dallas quintet have been around since 1998 and have established their place in the Texas country scene alongside Cory Morrow, Roger Creager, and others. Releasing their 8th album, Eight the Hard Way, last year, they’ve done nothing but kept it going.

While listening to Eleven Hundred Springs takes one back to the days of Merle Haggard or Willie Nelson, these guys also have made a unique sound for themselves. In “Hard Working,” their first single off of upcoming album Midway, Matt Hillyer’s vocals and the bandmates’ supporting guitar, violin, and percussion produce a tune championing the common man. Exclaiming ‘Hard working just ain’t working anymore,” Hillyer is mirroring a regular joe’s struggle in hard times but also makes you want to grab the person next to you and dance with them.

While their songs about “dark bars and broken hearts” are relatable to us all, we’ve got a band with enough momentum and prominence to stick around for quite some time. Releasing albums, touring, keeping the ball rolling and then some.

Eleven Hundred Springs will be playing at their CD Release show with Sons of Fathers and The Possum Posse on February 3rd. We fully suggest you head out to this one, just so decade from now, you can tell stories and brag about seeing ‘em. Or maybe you already have.
