There are plenty of terrible cover songs floating around the interweb, but it’s hard to complain about quality ones. Calexico has had their share of covers, a take on classics such as Joy Division’s “Love Will Tear Us Apart” or Love’s “Alone Again Or.” We’ve put together some of our favorites from the Tucson, Arizona-based band.
Calexico covers aren’t the typical hearing the same song twice. Infused with Latin sounds, Calexico is music for the wandering souls. We’ll be excited until they roll through with Bahamas in a few weeks, and dreaming about the summer. A getaway from the cold winter blues, we’re down for that.
